[Resolved] just get string between <h2> tag

Hi,
i've to get the string between <h2> tag with preg...

At end i make some like this, but don't work

preg_match("^{<H2>.</H2>$",$data,$name);}

On the net there is only more more more complex examples, nothing about just extraction from two tag...
(and manual is not too clear...)

What i've to do?

P.s: $data contains the full html code...

Try preg_match( '/<H2>.*?</H2>/',$data,$match ) ( this may need some fine tuning )

if it returns 1 it has found it.

To strip the <H2> off use str_replace

$result = str_replace( '<.*?2>','',$match );

There may be a more elegant solution, but I think this will work.

Any more little help...

From your:

$dati=preg_match_all( '/<td align=\"(center|left)\" valign=\"top\">nbsp;{0,}.*?<\/td>/',$data,$name);

With this i have to get a pattern between <TD> </TD>, with
align left or center. All work.

But i have also to check for nbsp; repeated from 0 to any time.

How can i say that only 'nbsp;' is argument for {0,} repeater ?

If you want the info inbetween the <TD> tags try this

preg_match( '/<td.?td>/',$data,$match );
$res = str_replace( '<.+d.?>','',$match );
$res1 = str_replace( '&nbsp;','',$res );

I know this will certainly need fine tuning 🙂

You ara right.
But after some other try i have solved with this that is much like as what i search:

$dati=preg_match_all( '/<td align=\"(center|left)\" valign=\"top\">(&nbsp;{1,}|).*?<\/td>/',$data,$name);

This tell to return all that string between <td> tag, aligned center or left and with nbsp; repeated or nothing (the "|)" part...)
