mysql only returns one word

I have phrases in my SQL database, but when i use mysql_fetch_array() it only grabs the first word. What do I need to do to get the compete phrase?

it may be because I am putting it into something like this:

<input type=textbox value<? echo $row[column1] ?>>

is that it do i need to put +'s instead of spaces and how would i do that in php?

Hmmm, I'm afraid I don't quite see what you're looking for. Are your phrases in a single field in the database or split across several fields? Are you trying to pass variables in the URL - is that why you're asking about spaces and plus signs?

Perhaps you could explain a bit more and add a bit of code so that we can see what you're getting at.

I think the problem may be that the value attribute of your input tag needs to have quote quotes enclosing the value

e.g.
<input type="textbox" value="<? echo $row[column1] ?>">

try something like;

while( $row = mysql_fetch_array($result) )
{
  print "<input type='textbox' name='text' value='$row['column1']'";
}

That may be a little ambiguous.
More like:

while( $row = mysql_fetch_array($result) ) 
{ 
	print '<input type="textbox" name="text" value="' . $row['column1'] . '">'; 
}
