mine is from my box here at work but i don't know if it's just me. another strange thing.. is the only thing in there is a lot of comments.. we're talking ALOT, if anyone ever heard of html comments killing ur loading time lemee know. thanks

Yes, your page takes very long time to load. Either its comments or actualy HTML code, the browser still have to stream the content to the client computer. So If you have alot of comments, its amost no different then having a large html page.

It loaded just fine for me on a 56K (at 42k) dialup and fractional T1... but something tells me it isn't the same now as it was at 4:30 PM. All I see is a link list on the left, with "Page is Under Maintenance..." message on each of the pages.

I believe comments don't slow page load time, because the HTML process doesn't scan the entire line of comments. It sees the beginning of the comment, and then looks for the end of the comment...

I don't think it affects load time too much with php comments either...

(The code still gets outputted, sure, but text just doesn't cause too much of a problem ever...)

HTML contents still have to be sent to the browser and one byte of comment is the same as one byte of valid HTML.

yeah, i fixed it lol.. took it from 2000 lines of code to 15 ^. lol, oi.. the things u forget during production 🙂 i completely forgot about that include and it was huge 🙂 just had to work on it a little and it was fixed. thanks for the responses.
