Fetching weather from MSNBC : Legal/Illegal?

hi...
i wanna know is it legal to fetch the weather data from MSNBC.com website. See the example here:

coz i wanna make sure that, before i can do it on my website. i don't wanna deal with that legal terms and all that if that is illegal.

it should be as long as you say its from MSNBC, and maybe find a way of telling them, otherwise, i don't see any other reason why not...

hmm...
the weather is a web services, a particular servlet that give some information (and it pay for this, of curse)... so they may be not too happy...

At the bottom of MSNBC's front page is a link to their Terms of Service.

Moving this to the Echo Lounge, as it's not really anything to do with PHP.

there is a funny feature in ASP.NET in which you can specify a page in which you'll "steal" a table content 😃
They didn't look much bothered when they showed me on usatoday's site 😉

BUT as we have a conscience and all (and are legally responsible in front of the LAW) we will respect the terms of use as we believe others respect ours 🙂

Why dont you try using PHPWeather or coding your own interpreter for METAR data you take directly from noaa? NOAA has really detailed, readily available information regarding METAR data on there website. A nice hefty regexp can easily chew through it. Also, it's kinda fun to make the interpreter (I know I enjoyed it). Of course, it all depends on if METAR data is even available for your locale, which judging by your location name, I'm unsure.

EDIT: you might find that the example on the PHPWeather site is broken for most locations. It does work, just not always on that site (I've used it on my machine).
