RSS Feeds

I've been doing some reading on RSS and quite honestly, I'm confused. I know that I don't want to create a channel, but I want to tap into one. What are some good resources to look at and learn more about RSS and putting it on my site?

Basically I want to take headlines from other sites and put them on mine. Such as MSNBC for example. Any helps or hints? Thanks. 🙂

Thanks for that, but how do I get it to pull feeds from, say, MSNBC? I'm trying to understand this RSS stuff, but for some reason it's a bit confusing to me.
