[Resolved] resolved tag thingy

Would it be possible to advertise a bit more on the use of resolved link ?? I know some ppl are using a signature to do this, but perhaps throw in a more official one...like tips of the day thingy(or similar).

Hit the resolved or be a rectangular thingy!! 😃

i didn't know about it till i saw it in someone's sig. i don't know if very many people know about it, and it's kind of annoying that people don't close their posts now that i've started using it. i don't know a good way to get it out without spamming, but, people need to know to close their posts when they've got their answer

Yeah, there was an annoucement about it (or maybe a sticky in echo lounge, not sure) a while ago when it was first introduced. It is really useful, as it will help people more easily find their answers when searching.

I dunno what you can do about "advertising" it any more than has already been done - it's hard enough getting people to realise that they can delete posts even after they've discovered they can edit them (and that's rare enough.)

Sorry if my initial post were a bit dense...

What i was hoping for was perhaps that some moderators could make a sticky topic/thread and let it stay in the given forum for a month or so, so that atleast some ppl would notice it...

That is a seperate sticky post....I know its in some of the faqs - but just to wave the green swashbuckler.

Hopefully this could make say 50%+ use the link and then hopefully ppl would think about that alot of threads are resolved and start thinking about how the f e k it happened....
(but ok.....someday it may rain beer too )...

gonna leave the thread unsolved for a time yet 😉
