preset queries?

hi

in a previous system i built using access i had querues from which i could retreieve data via odbc drivers into excel as a live link.

i want to do the same with mysql but i was wondering whther i could develop some kind of stored procedure if you will since there are only tables in mysql.

Nope, MySQL doesn't yet support such functionality. Postgresql and Interbase do, however, they aren't quite as ubitquitous as MySQL is.
