ZIP IN PHP - autmotically

Is it possible to create a .zip file using PHP. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

The articles are great, but there is something missing. When you create the zip file and send it via email, some email systems don't recognise it as a valid zip file. They end up removing the attachment saying it is a corrupted compressed file. Does anyone know if any headers are missing ? Or does anyone have any idea why this would be ?
