Passing information without refreshing a page

Hello all,

I am working on a site for a client who wants their order sheet running on one side of a page (frames) and the listing of products on the other. When the customer clicks on the order button for the product, the information has to pass to the order sheet without refreshing the product listing.

I am assuming I would need to use Javascript to pass the info, but not sure exactly how to do it without that refreshing the page.

Any thoughts or links to places that show how to do this?

lemee get this streight..

u have 2 pages setup like this

| products page | order page | (all in one frames)

when they click on a product on the products page, it shows the order form in the order page?

if this is what you are doing, all you have to do, is when you create the 'order now' link on the products page.. have the target be the order page.. of course the order page will refresh, it has to (in this case) but the products page will stay the same.

hooo boy that sounds easy. Usually the simplist things are the ones you don't think of. So just send it to the target frame and the ordersheet will refresh, but the product listing wont... sounds good to me...
