Finding MAC address

Does anyone know if there is a way to obtain a client's MAC address via PHP? Any ideas in either PHP or Perl would be helpful!

dunno if u can get it without a form.. never heard of a way to get a mac addy.. why exactly do u need it? there might be a better way to do what ur trying to do..

If your thinking about grabbing someones MAC address for authentication or perhaps tracking via the internet, it won't be possible to grab a unique MAC addy because there is no guarantees that it will be unique over the net. obviously when you purchase Network cards and setup a local network then the MAC address will be unique according to the NIC, but over the internet there is no guarantees.
