🙁 i've been looking all over the internet for a compiled version of the GD Library(hoping it exists) and i couldn't find one, i'm in a win32 system and i would like to know how to install it or where can i get it compiled and instructions to install it too.

the gd library comes bundled with the windows version of php. Copy all files in the dlls directory to the system32 (or system depending on the os) folder and enable the gd extension in the php.ini file. The php.ini should be in the winnt (or windows) folder. If it doesn't exist you can copy the php.ini-dist from the php directory to the winnt folder and rename it to php.ini
i found out what i was doing wrong... i installed the msi version of php... and it's the zip version that has most of the libraries...

I did what you said, but when i un commented the php_gd2.dll, and run a php file off my webserver i get an application error from php.exe...
that happens because u have to set extensions=drive:\path-to-php\extensions in the php.ini file, u may also want to set all the extensions available in the folder too
extension_dir = "c:\windows\system32\"
i did, see? same prob.
is the php_g2.dll in "c:\windows\system32\" ?
Also, i checked it out by renaming the php_gd2.dll, and it states it can't find the lib, so thats okay. So when i rename it back, php.exe crashes again..
it seems that if ANY of the extensions are enabled, PHP.exe crashes.
try removing the last slash form the extension_dir value "\"
removed.
didn't help, still crashes.

BTW, when i remove that semicolon.. NO php code works on my server.
maybe u have a corrupted version of that dll and it is causing u problems... do u have hotmail?
