Error Message : PHP has encountered Access Violation

Dear All,

It's the first time i write here 🙂 .... I didn't have any problem installing PHP 1.3.x on WIN2K using IIS 3/4 (I'm not sure) before.

When i practised the Session using PHP, I encountered a warning that the file can't be written, so i think it's the problem with the PHP.

So I installed Apache Web Server, but i think that is not the real problem, I think Apache crashed with IIS. After that i uninstalled Apache and try to run PHP again using PHPInfo(), but i get the error message : PHP has encountered Access Violation at XXXXXX ( i don't remember the exact address )....

After that i reinstalled PHP and upgrade the PHP version to PHP 1.4.0, already followed the procedure, and i changed the port to 100 (so that i won';t violate anymore ) but still got the same message...
PHP has encountered Access Violation at 1001364.

So stressful....

Can anybody help me ? Thank's very much for your help.

you might try uninstalling IIS, and using a newer version of PHP... like oh say something above 4... and apache 1.3x

I have found my mistake that i have not replaced the old php4ts.dll with the new one since the installer didn't replace that file automatically. It took me a whole day to notice that problem... I have already upgraded my PHP to PHP 4.0

Hi,

I've the same problem (PHP has encountered an Access Violation at ...), on a production server.
Hadi, you told you replaced your old php4ts.dll, which one did you pick ? I'd like to try the same thing to see if it resolve my problem.
If anybody else have an idea... I'm on PHP 4.3.1, IIS 5.
