Building a keyword collection

I have around 3000 photos. Its names are in a MySQL table.
I need to create a field for keywords for my search enigne. Obviously there are many collections of them that have one or more keywords in common.
Is there a way to manage those keywords without having to copy each one and paste it in the appropriate record?

There are 200 with a keyword "beach", 150 have a keyword "sea", 40 have a keyword "tourist" and so on.
I suppose it is better to create a table with at least two fields, one with the ID # of each photo and the other with the keywords.
I am thinking about a small program where I can define 20 buttons or something like that wich I have defined keywords previously. Then select a record and add the keywords clicking on the appropriate buttons.

why dont you display the tables in the browser in a list kind of view and have an edit keywords link for each one... then the keywords could be opened into a text box where you can edit / add / delete keywords.. then click a save button.

You could make this more advanced and have add keywords to all
or just 1 or select a few etc

Just think how you would think it would be easiest to edit then code away.

I understand what you mean but I´m not sure on how to create this procedure.
I suppose I first have to define a table with a list of the most common (or not) keywords and then using forms to add/... them in the keyword field of each photo filename.
Or assign certain keyword to a list of photo ID#.
I don´t know how to do this. My knolwedge of php is very small.
This is because I am looking for something 'pre-maid'
