Hi, i have a registration form where a users date of birth is inputted in the form of dd/mm/yyyy.

Is there any way i can verify this information is in the correct format?

I have been on php.net and decided the ereg function would suit my needs, but im not sure how to compose it.

Any help would be great,

Try this:

if (!ereg ("([0-9]{2})/([0-9]{1,2})/([0-9]{1,2})", $date))

It's in spanish format!!

It keeps bringing up the error whatever i put in, valid or not !?
