many spaces added when i edit

I have a textarea where i write my message. When i am editing the previous message i always observe that many spaces have been added at the end of the text.

What could i do for that?

Hmm... it sounds like it might be a deal with your formatting. Do you have something like this:

  <textarea>
    content
  </textarea>

(Note the spaces before the HTML tags)
The spaces before the </textarea> and after content will appear in the variable.

You can either change your HTML or use rtrim()

Hmm, do you end up with spaces in the HTML code (the output from code you specified)?

If so, just use the rtrim() there.
