How to make my message board rich and colorful!

i intend to write a message board. but the text is plane.i can not chane font size ,color ,and the text are displayed in a simple line.
i also want to show these text by paragraph.

i store text inputed by vistor in mysql databse as "blob field".

how can i make my message board rich and colorful.

the example is like "post new thread" of this site self.
