Mysql 4.0

hey guys,

i had mysql 3.2 and i wanna to install mysql 4.0... so i uninstall all my 3.2 rpms and installed mysql-server and mysql-client rpms... everything works fine... i can type mysql and get into mysql and on the welcome msg it says ther server version is 4.0

however... on my phpinfo() it says im running 3.2? i dont understand why its giving me 3.2 problem... please advice...

Hi,

if mysql support was compiled into php statically (the standard way) then it still will use the mysql client library it was linked against. If you want php to use the new library you need to recompile it. But it should work anyways 🙂

Will cause frequent db corruption if you ask me...

How do you use mysql4.x client with php4.3.2 win32 😕
