ok :p i believe that i have everything right so far, except after filling out the form, it takes me to a page and says that my email is not valid.
if (preg_match('/[x00-x20()<>@,;:\".[]x7f-xff]+(?:.[x00-x20()<>@,;:\".[]x7f-xff]+)*@[x00-x20()<>@,;:\".[]x7f-xff]+(?:.[x00-x20()<>@,;:\".[]x7f-xff]+)+/i', $POST['email'])) { $correct+=1;}
else {$msg.="<li type=\"square\">Your <i>email</i> address: $POST['email'] is not valid.</li>";}
is the code for the email that you gave me and i used it because i also have a spot for email and it is named email. however, regardless of what address i put in it comes back saying its not valid.
i also copied that part at the end:
<p><h3>Thank you for your email. We will get back to you as soon as possible.</h3></p>");
} else {
echo ("<span style=\"color:red;\">You have left out the following field(s):<br><ul>");
echo $msg;
echo ("</ul><br>Please click the <a href=\"http://www.MYHOMEPAGE.com/\" onClick=\"history.go(-1)\">back</a> button on your browser and fill out the form correctly.</span>");
}
?></p>
</body></html>
for my form purposes, it does not really matter whether or not they give me a fake email address or a real one, so what should i do to just take out the email check or change it so that it doesnt come back every time as the email being wrong? thanks!
