Hi everyone. Here's a thougth that has troubled my mind for a while.

In all sample expressions in the php-manual and in other php-scripts on the web, and posts on this forum as well, uses foo and bar as standard for naming variables and functions. Why's is that?
I can see that fokes see this as a standard and acceptable way to name dummy variabels and functions and do so by imitate. But wheres the does the origin come from?

cheers!

As I could imagine. There is a story for everything.
