Is it faster when you use several <? ?> or just one?

Is it true that when you <? ?> php spawns an additional process?

Try to only use one.

so <?php ?> or <? ?>

Its faster yes, but if your server that hosts your site is fast you wont notice the difference, on the other hand if your on a slow server you will notice about half a second difference depending on how many you have.
