I Know most of what to do for my script but one thing. How do you validate a e-mail address by a link? If anyone could tell me or refer me to some tutorial it would be of much help.

What do you mean by link?

Anyway here is a function i use to validate emails.

function validEmail($email)
{
	return preg_match("/^([a-zA-Z0-9])+([.a-zA-Z0-9_-])*@([a-zA-Z0-9_-])+(.[a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)+[a-zA-Z0-9_-]$/",$email);
}

Sorry i worded it wrong, You know when your sent a validation e-mail then theres some link in it to activate your account...
