Adding entries to top, not bottem

Hi. I am currently coding a site with flash. One thing I am trying to do is a shout box where users can sign it like a guestbook.

Here is the site

Now, if u test out that thing on the right it posts everything fine, but it makes the last post go to the bottem of the list. I need the last post to be at the top.

The tricky part is I can't use a databse or anything cuz the guy im making it for dfoesnt have very good hosting.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i would make hte last post go to the top of the .txt file w/out databases or anything?

Using the fopen() function with the w+ you should be able to insert data at the beginning of the file according the documentation. Read more of it to get the details.

i tried the w (i nregards to post #2) didnt work

and then i tried the code posted and got:

This is going to take a while...
Look at line 65. Look at the syntax-highlighted version that was posted. The whole string should be red (because it's a string). The double-quotes in that line should have \ characters before them so that PHP doesn't think they mark the ends of the string.

i tried putting the \'s in and it seem to have worked, but now when i try the whole scipt on the site, it says "Could not open entry.txt file. Change CHMOD levels to 766."

but i know I have CHMOD'd the entry.txt to 766.. ive done it several times

and bryons, where do i put that code?

you put it whereever u want sorta.. it depends on ur code.. i use it as a 'news submission' so i have all my form code and then an if statement making sure everything is filled in and if it is thats where u insert the code... u just put it wherever u need to call it...
