PHP session : between ip and hostname

I learn PHP under Linux RH 7.3 with 1 eth card installed. when I typed [url]http://IP_address/sessionRead.php,to[/url] read the registered session, on the web browser there is no result. But when i typed http://hostname/sessionRead.php, the registered session is read. What can i do to get the same result ? Any help is appreciated
