i wnat to make my store search engine friendly..

i've read about the htaccess articles. but still was left a bit confused

i have a online store-- mysql/php/apache-- were

Products are displayed like this:
http://www.mystore.co.uk/ware.php?id=422

Products are in catergories like this
http://www.mystore.co.uk/category.php?n=10

Products are also in sun catergories.. like this
http://www.mystore.co.uk/subcategory.php?n=10

How would i go making it search engine friendly?

i would take it that the question marks would have to be replaced and session ids removed.

also how can i configure my sites search engine so that search engines automatically trawl through it and list and index the results... ( sites with asp seem to be to be able to do this).

I dont want to make major changes to the cart system as that would mean having to more or less start from scratch 🙁

hi, i replaced the links with dud ones so that the url is not shown. Do u need to see the site?

I don't have the greatest site, but is entirely database driven. It's a community based search engine and I have to say, Google really likes it. I have 400+ records in my db and google has gone up to 1200 links.
Why?
Here are a few things that I did:
1) META Tags on every page which I can update through a web form for the whole site.
2) Drop-downs don't get parsed- have a way to drill down into your site that uses links-not forms.
3) Keep content updated ("top picks" on home page or rand displays).
4)Submit to search engines often, but not too often(I do once every month to month-and-a-half)
