<select> statement

Was wondering how to get the value of a <select> into a variable (without posting it via a form).

print "<select name='$rep' id='$rep'>
             <option value='No Rep'></option>
             <option value='banders'>Brent Anders</option>
             <option value='mboles'>Mickey Boles</option>
             <option value='dgerringer'>Daryl Gerringer</option>
             <option value='sgivens'>Scott Givens</option>
             <option value='cstanley'>Chris Stanley</option>
           </select>";

and then take what is select and save it to a variable:

$select_value=??????

Hope this is explained ok.

You can only do stuff once the page is loaded via Javascript. Depending on what you wanted to do it would be possible with Javascript.

Well what I am trying to do is:

I have about 100 select statements generated through a while loop. I would like to store every select that is chosen into an array and use the array on the next page (that way not having to post all the select variables).
