copy a database from 1 server to another one

I have a stupid question for all you php coders, I have a MySQL database on an old server, I am transfering my site (and the database) to a new server. I transfered all the .php files but still have to as of yet transfer the database and make everything work like it did before? Any ideas out there?

If you are using phpMyAdmin, you can go to the Export tab, and do a dump of all of the database tables (including the structure and data) into a sql file, and then just import that sql file into the new DB... That's the easiest... Otherwise, you just need to bust open the old mySQL manual, and start learning the ins and outs ;-)
