Hi,

first of all, i wana say hi to everyone here! I've been speaking the PHP Language for a long time, but stubborn me, I just got myself to join your community now. - i deserve to be slapped. 😃

On to my query.. I've been using ZDE and has been loving the ability to debug right from the editor!!! It has made my life a breeze.. BUT, now im using some syntaxes that belong to php versions higher than that of my ZDE copy.. My ZDE uses php 4.2.1 ... and using functions such as file_get_contents() causes a debugging error.. So, i was wondering how i can update this "internal php engine" ... I have latest php on my local server, but i think ZDE uses its own.

Please advice

Thanks
TEA

yes zend uses it's own internal php, and you don't even need php installed on your machine as long as you aren't using the server comp., if you purchased zend for like 195, and not the 249, you will need to purchase zend to get the newer internal engine, if you did the 249 method, you got 1 year of upgrades, and as long as you are within that year, you should be able to contact them for upgrades

    good luck

im actually just trying out the software.. but if that's the case... as much as i like ZDE, i cant afford it. 🙁 too bad.. life isnt all joy and cheers.. 🙁
