Well, if you think he is going to log on more than 99,999,999,999 times (that's Ninety-Nine billion, Nine-Hundred and Ninety-Nine million, Nine-Hundred and Ninety-Nine Thousand, Nine-Hundred and Ninety-Nine times) then you may want to look at some other way.

To put it into perspective, If he logged in 100 times per hour, it would take him 11,415 years to reach that number.

INT(11) is definitely safe, but maybe overkill.

I wan't trying to dissuade you from using INT(11), by any means. I mean, you never know, maybe he doesn't have a life or something...

I am not sure of the exact byte usage when using INT(6) vs INT(11), but I don't think it would be that significant anyhow (depending on the rest of your field values)

INT(11) really is fine.
