Zend for Mac OS X

Hi All,

It has been announced that Zend Studio is now available for Mac OS X evalutation.

Is that supposed to be a good thing? Personally, I don't think we should encourage those software developers disguising themselves as hardware developers. Could be bad for business.

when did they ever say they were hardware developers...

they built a piece of software to allow for ease of use for PHP programming

I tried out the demo, and really don't see how any OS X user could like the program. The interface is so clunky, it made me feel like I was on windows again, and that is a very bad thing for Mac software to do. It's also Java, and I'm not really that big on Java desktop applications on OS X.

Maybe if they take the time to develop a version for OS X, it would be better, but they clearly did not develop the OS X version of Zend Studio with OS X users in mind.

I partially agree with you dream.scape. The Zend Studio interface is ok for me, not so difficult or clunky as you said but yes the java thing really sucks. The program is a bit slow and should be improved to please mac users.
