Fatal error in Nukephp

Hey all, just uploaded nuke to my web host and keep gettin this error could anyone please let me know wots wrong with the code?

 message_die(CRITICAL_ERROR, "Could not connect to the database"); 

This is the error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: message_die() in /home2/bhclan/public_html/NukEPhP/html/db/db.php on line 88

Check your DB name / password / server address.
This message occurs when phpnuke can't access the DB.

the problem isnt that he cant connect, the problem is that his message_die() function isnt working. make sure youve included the function file if there is one, thats the only thing i can think of as ive never used PHP-Nuke/
