i just can't set cookies anymore! why can other sites?

hi there!

i have script which i created under windows2000. now i'm running windows2003 and i can't set my cookies anymore although it went very well under windows2000 and i set all the ie6 settings to lowest security (for testing purposes). what could be the problem there??
now i've got another question: why can other sites set cookies although i can't? is there something like a security authentication or something like that which allows these sites to set cookies?? what could i do there for my script?

I havent tried to use windows 2003, however, if it works well in win2k, it should work well in win2003, too.

To set cookies, there's no security authentication required, as long as user's browser is set to accept cookies, your website should be able to throw any cookies to user, for sure.

Would you mind posting your scripts here? Just in case you made some errors before migrating to win2003. 🙂

i made a script to test cookies, because some users of my script had the same prob, too.

just play around with the files, i think you will understand them easily although german. 😉

yeah i'm using this windows2003 to surf this forum, and cookies seem to work, because of this i wrote that:
