Do you give Apache a shell?

Well, Virt-host people, I guess you can vote.

Does the Apache user have a shell on your box? Mine didn't, and I kept wondering why I couldn't back-tick, etc....

But I'm wondering how sane this decision is. Of course, depends on my coding, I'm sure, but what else?

Any opinions?
