Displaying table content on an html page

Hi,

(An absolute newbie question, or two)!

Can you point me to a how-to page that describes (or explain to me) how to display contents of a database table on an html page?

Also, I need to be able to create a page on the fly, in response to a click on an item, say an image, using a record on a table.
How would I link that particualr image to a record on the table?

here's a coupla tutorials, plus this forum's bound to have some examples, depending on what all you have to do there.
