[Resolved] Is there a Pause routine or built in function for php?

Hi, I am trying to insert about 20,000 items into a MySQL db all at once with a loop. The problem is apparently MySQL can't handle this and the page times out.

Is there any way i could put a short pause in there, maybe 1/4 second or so so the DB doesnt get overloaded?

There is usleep() it allows small delays.
