Hey guys I've been looking at some page sources and have heard about GZIP compression or encryption or whatever it is. I think it is for compression, but regardless of that where can I find any information about it? Thanks for any help.

GZIP is a compression format like e.g. ZIP but developed by GNU.

If you compile PHP correctly to support Zlib, you can do some cool stuff right from your scripts.

Thanks both of you guys. I guess I won't implement it since I'd have to recompile PHP, which I didn't do in the first place (used phpDev). Would either of you or anyone else happen to know if there is a module for phpDev or another version that includes Gzip or some other sort of compression? Thanks.
