[Resolved] Server upgraded to 4.3.2 and now I have a problem

The following line is erroring out on my server now. Any help?

$sql3 = "select USERid from motm where votes =  \"$row_month[\"max(votes)\"]\"";

I'm getting this error:

Parse error: parse error, expecting T_STRING' orT_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in /functions.php on line 3933

You should use:

$sql3 = "SELECT USERid FROM motm WHERE votes =  '" . $row_month[max($votes)] . "\"";

However, I doubt it will do what you want, especially since max() needs more than 1 argument.

Could you explain more clearly what you are trying to do?

Try to change that line to this:

$sql3 = "select USERid from motm where votes ='" . $row_month['max(votes)'] . "'";

Anyway, $row_month['max(votes)'] looks kinda strange to me. 🙂

Your code was wrong in the first place.

Generally, if you wanted to do it that way, you should use complex syntax for strings, e.g.

$sql3 = "select USERid from motm where votes =  \"{$row_month['max(votes)']}\"";
