[Resolved] Setting font colour

I'm tearing my hair out with this ... The code is as follows and is pretty straightforward. It's a data entry form and on the second pass it checks for any errors in the data entered previously. If an error is encountered, it sets the relevant boolean value in an array.

If an error is triggered (checked it and it works) then it will go through the top half of this code and change the font colour to red. Or at least it should ... it doesn't and I haven't a clue why.

Check your source and see if it actually prints #FF0000 or if it is just #000000. If it is red, then you have an error further up that sets the $errorcode[0]

Your <FONT></FONT> tags have to be placed within your <TD></TD> tags.

As I gave this a bit more thought, I figured I would actually do things a bit differently though. (The FONT tag is deprecated, and may not be supported by browsers in the future, so I would maybe try one of the following methods. (Using CSS)

$fontcolor = '#000000';

Well, changing things around worked fine, thanks.

But I think I'll try out one of the other methods for a bit of added 'future proofing'. 🙂

No problem... Be sure to mark this post as resolved for the benefit of others...

Also, if you look at my second post, you will see I did some other useful tricks, like setting the value of the variable in the If/Else statement, and then just writing one set of code for the Business Name portion...

In your example, it doesn't make too much of a difference, but if you have 40 lines of code, it wouldn't make sense to have to put it in there twice (with the changed font color value for example.)

I know this is kind of anal retentive, but is soooooooo much easier to track, and make changes to later...
