want to use JSRS with PHP

hi there

hopefully this isn't the completely wrong place to be but i am trying to use JSRS with PHP to retrieve data from mySQL db then use PHP functions to populate a Javascript Array, where can i find tutorials on this and does anyone have a ruff idea of how it should be done?

any help would be greatly appreciated...
