Set Cookie to remember login

I have a need to place a check box on a login form to set a cookie on the users computer that remembers the login info.

Could someone please help or point me in the right direction. I do not generally use cookies so I am at a loss regarding how to go about this.

If you are using it just for login status, use sessions.

This is not for the login. It is to "remember the login" for the browser. I use sessions for browsing the site.

Even this site has an option to remember the password.

You can learn how to implement the remember me feature in your own scripts, or just copy and paste the code and use it as is. Hope this helps!
