Suppressing errors

I was wondering: does suppressing errors have any effect on script performances?

For example if I have a script that would call about 100 php functions and I suppress all errors (if there were any ofcourse), would the script run slower?

there may be other ways to tackle this. What sort of errors are you experiencing. There may be ways to write more robust code so that "errors" are anticipated, and managed appropriately.

Consider the command isset(), which is effectively away of catching an error before it happens.

I'm experiencing no errors at all, I just want to no if a function that hasn't been suppressed works faster than a suppressed function eg:

fputs("lalala.php","a");

@fputs("lalalala.php","a");

What would work faster, or doesn't this matter at all?
Yeah I know I weird question, that would help no 1(but me) 😉
