another dumb frames problem....

i have a link that says logout. in a page with 3 frames

here is the illustration

|header frame |
|---------------------|
| frame1 | frame2|
| | |
| mylink | |
----------------------|

mylink is in frame1 (if the illustration is garbled in your browser)

when i press that mylink i want both frame1 and frame2 to go
different places.

is this possible? thanx for the help.

Yes it is, you can use javascript for this,

The link would be in the form of

onclick=go();

Then
function go()
{
parent.framename1.location=\"location1.php\";
parent.framename2.location=\"location2.php\";
}

Should sort all your problems..

It is good, but you should check that it is about to be used on the client system before making it site wide and dependant.

Research is also good. Google search can find almost anything...
