Netscape does not break words on hyphen

Hello guys,

my problem is actualy HTML and browser related, but I hope there is some PHP solution for that. The problem is that
Netscape does not break words on hyphen

I have a table containing list of medicine producs. Some some of them look like:

XTT 3,3'-(PHENYLAMINO-)CARBONYL)-3,4-TETRAAZOLIUM)-BIS(METHYOXY-6-NITRO)BENZENE SULFONIC ACID SODIUM SALT HYDRATE ULTRA PURE

As the result the page layout is broken in Netscape since the table becomes extremely wide.

is there any way you can have a space before and after the " - ", so the words will wrap

I am working on content management system (in this case product management) and I just imported data from Excel file into the database. Some of the products are that long. I have no idea if it is correct to place spaces somewhere inside the name. I have to check it with the customer, but I want to do that only if there is no programming solution to the problem.
