I know that Code is for counting visitor num ..

i want to know ..
why They put that ? [0]

in here ...
$hits[0] ++;

and I hope from you tell me ...

the file function reads the file in as an array, so $hits[0] is the first line.

when they told you there's no such thing as a stupid question they lied.

what do i mean? ANY BASIC BOOK WOULD ANSWER THIS.

if you're asking questions that basic then you make people not want to help, and then when you repeat the question after someone tells you the 0 is how to know which part of the array to affect you show that there is no helping you.

if you're not going to make an effort to learn, why should we make an effort to help you???

do you understand how arrays work? i get the feeling you have never used s scripting or coding language before.

that means that you should give uup on scripting and coding until you read a good book on php. you are demonstrating an absolute lack of understanding of the type of variable.

this is why it was much much much better when the sys ops and sys admins were the onely ones who knew how to operate computters..... people had to learn what the structures being used did and how they act before they could do anyhting. now there's push button virus writers.....

no offense mitsubishi, but this has NOTHING to do with the bad grasp of english and everything to do with basic understaning of the type structure. something a half-way decent book should explain. something covered in ALL weeder classes

i AM trying to help you. go back to highschool and take a fucking course in scripting/programming. this is not the place to learn something so basic. the classroom is.

i'm telling you a book you can learn from. you ignore that.

this is a place for script kiddies. you don't even understand types.

unlike the idiots that give out code i AM trying to help. there's no point in answering questions for someoen who doesn't understand types. this is the most basic part oof scripting/coding.

you need to understand int, char, float, array
