ORDER BY problems

I have a sql query:

$query=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM timesheet WHERE authorized=0 AND uname='$uname' AND date BETWEEN (NOW( ) - INTERVAL 14 DAY) AND NOW( ) GROUP BY date",$db);

It returns the proper information, but it doesn't return all the records. So say you have to records on the same date, it will only return one of them. I've tried order by which gives me the proper results except that it displays the same records multiple times, like this:

replace 'GROUP BY' by 'ORDER BY'

It cannot be displaying the same record multiple times. You must have duplicate rows in the table.

But you can use DISTINCT to get, ummm, distinct values...

$query=mysql_query("SELECT DISTINCT * FROM timesheet WHERE authorized=0 AND uname='$uname' AND date BETWEEN (NOW( ) - INTERVAL 14 DAY) AND NOW( ) ORDER BY date",$db);
