post problem!

I have a problem where if you put in too much information on my shipping/billing information page, it just hangs forever. However, on my personal server, this is not a problem. Only the one on the web. Can anybody help me or help me make the server people (who aren't helping) fix this? I'd rather not have to split the form into multiple pages, I'm just too busy right now. The site is http://www.nbstamps.com if you want to take a look (feel free to make a fake order). I haven't counted the maximum characters you can enter before it freezes up, but that shouldn't matter anyway. Any help?

It appears to be working ? ? ? ? How long do you wait? it is SSL which means there is additional overhead. Have you tried it with SSL on your personal server?

Thanks for trying. It will work if you don't put too much information in. Try filling at least all of the shipping options and give a full-size credit card number (no validation in place yet, so any will do). In my case, I'll put in the following info and it'll be too much:

Give that a try and see if it hangs forever on you. It does for me. Thanks for your help.

Hmm, yes, it is hanging, but it does submit. Which makes me think it is a problem with the script. One thing to check is if you use the variables posted like $_POST["field_name"] or just $field_name. If it is the latter, the server may not be set up to Register_globals in the PHP settings. Another thing to check is if there are any initial loopings in the script after you submit, they could be infinite loops causing there to be a constant delay

the only loop I have could affect anything posted variables is this:

foreach($HTTP_POST_VARS as $key => $value)
echo "<input type='hidden' name='$key' value='$value'>\n";

I don't think this could do anything, though. What do you think?

Well, I can't fit that bit of code into any context. If it's on the sending page, then the HTTP_POST_VARS aren't there yet...and if it's on the receiving page, then the HTTP_POST_VARS need to be fed to the current script, not to another form ... unless, of course, I'm missing something, which I probably am ... like possibly a 3rd script designed to follow the one that's hanging...
