[Resolved] HTML Question- Hiding URL in browser bottom when hovering over link

I would like to confess that I've spent a good deal of time with google trying to figure this out, or even if it's possible. I don't mind if you need HTML or JS to solve this problem.

How would one hide the URL that shows up in the browser bottom of Internet Explorer when you hover over a link? Is this even possible?

very basic javascript, i'm suprised u didnt find it on google

<a href="page.php" onMouseOver="window.status='Page'; return true"; onMouseOut="window.status=''";>Page</a>

that will show PAGE in the status bar, instead of www.your-site.com/page.php

That's exactly what I'm looking for. The main problem I was having is that I'm not very familiar with javascript and didn't really know the key words I was even looking for. Thanks for the help!!
