not inserting into sql

$db = mysql_select_db("pinehead", $con) or die(mysql_error());
$sql = "INSERT INTO users (other_info) VALUES ('$other_info')";

$sth = mysql_query($sql);

Ok, this is my code yet nothing inserts into the db.

add this after that code:

if(!$sth) {
echo mysql_error();
}

and it should return some kind of clue as to why its not inserting.

Anyway this is my error.. Kinda not understanding it maby you can help me out.

paste the script functions.inc up to about line 30 and ill see what i can figure out for you. mainly im concerned with line 4 though
