i'm pretty new to php, and i'm working on a script to give a horizontal strip of photo thumbnails when you feed it the path of the full size photos.
hmm, maybe that doesn't make sense.
what i want to do, is have a php file with the names of the categories of photos, each followed by the path of each photo in that category. then, when a browser is pointed to "thumbs.php?thumbstrip=photos1" the server will look down the list, find the category "photos1" and then look at each path following it, something like this: "june/photo1, june/photo3, august/photo1" etc. the script will then, from this list of paths, generate one of these for each photo:
<td><a href="pic.php?pic=june/photo1" target="picframe"><img src="photos/june/thumbnails/photo1.jpg"><br>
Glastonbury Tor </a></td>
where it says "glastonbury tor" there, it will have looked in an array somewhere and found that this was the title corresponding to the path of the photo.
i really hope you guys can understand this - if prompted, i'll try and explain better.
i'm not asking anyone to build anything for me, but i'd appreciate it if someone could point me towards any functions etc which might be of use to me.
