Hello Everyone,

I have a database of members who post articles on my site. Someone else wrote the code a while back but it's supposed to list their last name and then their first in an alphabetical list.

But if there is more than one instance of the same name, such as:

Smith, Jane
Smith, John

The page is only loading the first one. I have about five people with the same last name and only the one that comes first alphabetically is coming up.

Any suggestions on how I can go about changing it so that all of the members with the same last names will be displayed and not just the first?

Code source would help. It sounds like the script is just regarding the first record returned from MySQL and isn't looping through the rest.

$results = mysql_query("select * from table where lastName = 'smith'");
while($row = mysql_fetch_array($results)
{
echo $row["lastName"] . ", " . $row["firstName"];
}

That cycles through all records of persons with the last name of Smith.
