I am new to creating websites and want to know how can I create session cookies for clients to log into the website and see personalized pages only available to them and not the general public. I have Dreamweaver MX and am hosted through Hostrocket.com using Unix systems with PHP and MySql. I have looked through http://www.onlamp.com/php/ which was recommended for me to use and am very confused. Anyone know what exactly I would need to do and if there are places that already have the scripts? I doubt I'd be that lucky but worth a shot.

Is there a way I can do it where I have the blanks to login on the first page instead of going to another page to login? That may be a dumb question, sorry.
